I talk to a lot of different people and they often tell me I am a smart person when they hear my hobby’s & interest’s. I don’t thank so because I have never been to a college or university but that is because I have always been a self taught person. What do you thank.

It makes you sound kind of smart but boring. Really, “stock market simulation game”?
I agree with the first poster. And it doesn’t really matter how smart you SEEM… if your not using your smarts to make more money or help mankind it doesn’t really matter how smart you are… and at this point in your life (if your picture indicates your age (older than 21ish)) you should have a pretty good idea of how smart you are. Hope that made sense

None of these are anything an idiot would do, but worrying about it and needing to ask, shows insecurity about your intelligence.
I’m not trying to beat you up, but I wanted to give you an honest and compassionate answer.
Dream jobs mean zilch if you’ve never held them, and games are games. The reality is – the minute you try to prove something like this, people will doubt you. If you just do your thing and don’t put on airs, your intelligence will shine through like a ferrari with road grime on it.
Also, for the record, I know people that have four year degrees that have a hard time finding the pointy end of a pencil. I know people that didn’t go to college that are sharp as hell. I also know people that went that are so brilliant they make me feel like an idiot. I’ve known people that didn’t go that can’t use more than 3 words at a time.
Being able to learn on your own isn’t a reason not to go to college, regardless.
Trust me, if you went for the hardest stuff – you won’t learn it on your own. Show me the person that can learn differential calculus, organic chemistry, or computational fluid dynamics by reading it in the easy chair and I’ll show you the next Einstein. On the other hand, I have no doubt that I or you could learn everything someone with a history degree could learn simply by reading the books they were assigned. I’m not putting down the history buffs. Someone needs to know that stuff, and someone needs to teach it.
Some degrees are simply much tougher than others. Some colleges pump kids through for the money, and others take pride in their flunk-out rate. Bottom line – a college degree isn’t a yardstick for anything without the details of what it is.
If you are worried about this, why not go to college? Find out if you can make it. If you are a self starter and learn well on your own, it should simply make it easier for you. Many people start college, and don’t finish for one reason or the other, but they all have an excuse. If you want to finish – you’ll find a way, whether you are working full time, poor, or raising kids. I know people that did it in every case and showed persistence and determination that is rarely seen even in movies. If you don’t want to, don’t. If you want to invest – do it. Read about 10 of the best books about investing, save up 10k or so, and just do it on the side. Double 10k eight times and you will be a millionaire.
The fact that you took the time to inventory your hobbies and write out a question shows me that this is something that really concerns you. If it does, the way to solve it is to prove it to yourself. Playing games and making websites isn’t for the dimwitted, but they don’t actually prove anything given that kids all over the world are doing the same thing. So – why not take action? Don’t dream about it, talk about it, or worry about it, because there is no substance to any of that. People see through it immediately. Do it for yourself, and simply take action and make it happen – whatever it is.
